Hey there, fellow marketers!

If you've also had ads and accounts mistakenly blocked on Facebook and Instagram, this is for you! With a dash of perseverance and a pinch of creativity, we managed to overcome the helpless support and run all campaigns again for our customers. Let's dive into the details!

Förebygg's Credit Conundrum:

Prevention are specialized in credit follow-up and, of course, often discuss credit-related issues. But Facebook mistakenly categorized their ads as "Special ad category" due to the mention of credit. The dispute? Værbygg did not offer any kind of credit. To address this hiccup, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We refused to give up after the first attempt at Facebook support and continued to highlight ads from competitors in the same industry that did not face this issue. Persistence pays off, my friends!

Lessons Learned:

Quality Quirk: The quality and expertise of different individuals within Facebook's support team can vary widely. Don't lose heart after the first meeting; politely ask to speak to someone else if you hit a roadblock and tone down the politeness if necessary. Sometimes quite properly.

Special isn't always special: If your ads are mistakenly marked as "Special ad category," which drastically limits your targeting options, present a compelling argument why they shouldn't fall into that category. Also, take advantage of the examples of competitors who make similar ads but don't face the same problems. Sometimes a little comparison can go a long way!

Bitrefill's Crypto Conundrum:

Bitrefill, being a crypto-based company, had its own set of challenges. We had to navigate through a two-step solution. First we filled out the form found at this link: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/532535307141067. Second, we temporarily disabled advertising on Instagram and focused solely on Facebook for a period of time.

Lessons Learned:

The crypto code: If you work in the crypto industry, be prepared for additional steps. Complete the necessary forms, such as the one found at https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/532535307141067, to ensure compliance and resolve any obstacles.

Hello Instagram, Hello Facebook: If you run ads on both Facebook and Instagram, consider experimenting with running them exclusively on Facebook. This tactic can help you bypass some challenges and achieve better results as Instagram has stricter rules in some cases. Do you want help from us? Click here!
